Factor XPTO: Emotional wines in Jerez
Bodegas Luis Pérez starts its path in 2002 with one premise: Jerez must go back to the vineyard. Ever since, we have done our best to develop personal projects where the idea was to understand the terroir.
We continue the old concept of Pagos, or single estates, in the Sherry region where in each plot of land the wine will be made in a different way. We don’t follow just the premises of our oenological knowledge, we do keep in mind the history of the wines made in each of those little pieces of land.
In some occasions, like the Corchuelo estate, where the production of the wine is not historically determined, we allowed ourselves to test international varieties giving room to Garum or Samaruco. In other places like Balbaína, Añina, Macharnudo o Carrascal, we try to follow a path marked by history, in our respectful understanding of local varieties.
Our beginning, though, doesn’t start in 2002. In fact, we are a family devoted to wine for several generations, from viticulturists to foremen, wine makers and wine experts. Always taking passion as our working premise.
