We are a young winery that began to produce natural wine in 2006.
We are the generation that has resumed winemaking after a period of selling grapes to cooperatives in the area. For many generations, our family has cultivated the vineyard and produced natural wine.
We are located in Castilla La Mancha, at the vertex of 3 provinces, Cuenca, Toledo and Ciudad Real. The altitude of our vineyard is 750m. above sea level. The soil of our vineyard is calcareous clay and our climate is extreme continental. I usually say that we have 4 months of winter and 8 months of hell.
We cultivate 60 hectares in the total of the Domaine. 35 hectares are vineyards and the rest are cereals, legumes, garlic, potatoes and pistachios. Everything is grown in real organic farming. We only use compost as a fertilizer and whey as a preventative treatment.
We grow autochthonous varieties Airén and Tinto Velasco, and other complementary ones: Muscat, Vigiriega, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Graciano, Tintorera and Garnacha.
We do the harvest by hand in boxes. In the winery, we make our wines in different styles, always with indigenous yeasts, without temperature control, without corrections, without aggressive filtrations and without added sulphites.
