Factor XPTO: To drink and feel like we want to have a glass more, it’s Moreish!

Luis Lopes: “The Moreish project starts in 2013, in Dão region. Since then, it became itinerant, with wines made from multiple places: We are from the place where we live and other places we pass across.
The project took place, initially, where I worked as a winemaker. Time and persons contributed to the distinct terroir selection and to a better understanding of these vineyards.
My wines express grapes and terroirs, respecting their origins. Moreish wines take many shapes, because they depend on the persons, regions and varieties where the wines are made.

The idea for the name Moreish originated in a Portuguese expression used when we drink something we like very much and want to drink more. We say in Portuguese “Beber e chorar por mais”, which means “drinking and crying for more” (in the good sense). Translating for wine vocabulary: making wines that after tasting, we feel like we want to have a glass more.”
