Factor XPTO: one Estate, one Family, only one Terroir.

The Carvalho Martins Family has owned for four generations Quinta Vale do Olmo, a property located in the Douro and planted in schist soils at 550 meters altitude, in Mêda (Douro Superior). These vineyards, with an average age of 25 years, produce grapes of unique structure and acidity.

Taking advantage of the high potential of the grapes, the Family, through the two brothers Vasco and Rui, seek with this project to produce superior quality wine, having recently built a winery that allows the control of the entire winemaking process, made according to strict oenological practices in order to extract from the grapes wines that respect the characteristics of the Quinta Vale do Olmo terroir, highlighting the minerality and freshness that are characteristic of the wines of this region.

Thus, Carvalho Martins Family wines result from the permanent dialogue between the vineyard, tradition and the Family which originates the following wines:
Golpe: initiates the family, that over 4 generations has been dedicated to viticulture in the region, in wine production. Pacto: establishes the relation between the family traditions and the singularity of the Quinta Vale do Olmo.
