Hugo was a founder and head barista at Chá das Cinco, was head barista at BOP Café and is a founder and trainer in the SCA Barista and Brewing courses at the abcoffee School. He obtained 2nd place in the 2022 National Barista Championship and 3rd place in the 2019 National Barista Championship.

On top of all this, he’s the guy with the jokes, the beard and the tattoos because he thought that if he was going to spend his life making dolls out of coffee cups, he might as well look like a bad guy, to make up for it. It kinda works.
His latest project is Tasteology, a new specialty coffee subscription service in which he curates coffees. It will be released next month.
