Alfredo Maestro live: “I am a viticulturist and winemaker from Peñafiel (Valladolid), who has been making his own wines naturally since 1998 and giving maximum respect to the vineyard and its surroundings. My main interest is that each plot, each area from which the grapes that will be used to make each wine come, offer their particularities and special characteristics in the most sincere way possible.
What better way to achieve this than using the very tools that nature gives us and not masking any result with an interventionist oenology or “chemistry”? In my elaborations no chemical products are used, that is, the grapes are fermented with their own yeasts, from each plot, without the use of chemical correctors of any kind, etc.

All of this leads us to devote all our efforts, each year, to care for the vineyard, to seek balance in the vine and for it to be transmitted to the grape. This can only be achieved through bio-natural viticulture, that is, the vineyards are not treated with chemical compounds, all the fertilizers and supplements that are added to the plant and the soil are the result of nature and plants from the environment that surrounds the vineyard. All of this continues in the cellar, since machines are not used for the aging, bottling and labeling processes, only the hands of men, they are purely artisan wines from the vineyard to the bottle.”
