Altapontuação Viticulture and wine trades Ltd is a young company born in 2008, after an application for a draft young farmer, with the aim of producing high quality wines from grapes grown in the Douro Wine Region.

The Fifth embodying this project dates back to 1876, has about 5.5 ha. And an area average size does not allow the production of large quantities, although the quality is proven. For this reason all the wines produced here are considered Thursday.

The farm is situated in the parish of Celeirós Douro, municipality of Sabrosa, with elevations ranging from 385 m and 450 m, with slopes exposed to the east and south mostly. The vineyard is composed of old vines, comprising more than 20 varieties of the most traditional Douro, aged over 50 years and is also composed of a zone that has been restructured to six years. In our vineyards are present varieties: Touriga Nacional, Franca, Tinta Roriz and Barroca (paints) and Malvasia Fina and Gouveio Real (White is all old vines).

Were so far produced four wines to put in market, Altapontuação red and white
wines, Casa dos Socalcos and the new Touriga nacional.
